What is this?
The Footprint Map shows public UConn outreach and engagement activity by location.
What it is
Each marker stands for one activity, several activities at the same place, or a regional group of nearby locations. The map groups records when that makes crowded areas easier to read.
What it shows
Records can describe teaching and learning, service and outreach, research, conferences, meetings, training, travel, and other work connected to communities.
The map only shows records with a public visibility setting and usable coordinates. Some public points use a broader location to protect details.
Where the data comes from
The map combines activities submitted through the site with records imported by administrators from approved spreadsheets. The record source is kept in the database and can be used by administrators when checking the data.
How to use it
Search for a name or place, add filters if you need them, then select a marker. A numbered marker contains more than one activity or location. Select it to see the records inside or to move closer.
