Using the Site

The site has three main public areas: the Footprint Map, Programs, and Scholars.

Main pages

  • Footprint Map: shows public engagement activities by location.
  • Programs: lists active programs that have permission to appear publicly.
  • Scholars: lists active scholar profiles.
  • Help: explains the site and its tools.

Navigation

Use the links in the main header to move between pages. On a small screen, open the menu with the three-line button beside the site title.

The Account menu is where you sign in or out. Administrators also use it to open the admin area.

Links and popups

Program and scholar cards open their details in a popup. Close it with the X button, the shaded background, or the Escape key. A normal detail-page link is still available when a popup cannot be used.

Some links, such as websites and UConn resources, open a new browser tab.

Embedded pages

The map and directories can also appear inside another UConn page. In that view, the large site header may be hidden. Actions that need the full database, such as submitting or editing a record, open the main site.
