We are All Aging: What does that Mean for Social Workers?
- School of Social Work
- Hartford
Launched in the 2022-2023 academic year, the Scholars in Aging Program addresses the national demand for social workers with specialized expertise in working with older adults. With Connecticut ranking 6th in the U.S. for its older adult population, there is a pressing need to expand the workforce serving individuals aged 65 and older. This unique program provides Master of Social Work (MSW) students with specialized classroom instruction and field training in gerontology and social work, preparing them for careers in a variety of community and institutional settings that serve older adults.
