The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) program at UConn opens the door to economic opportunity for veterans by developing their competencies in the steps associated with creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture. EBV offers experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management through its online accelerator and in-person boot camp. The program serves nearly 270 veterans and military spouses across 15 years, many designated by the Veterans Administration (VA) with a service-connected disability. The program provides a sustainable option for veterans to transition into the civilian workforce and create economic security for themselves and their families. The network and camaraderie that form within and across cohorts have been a lifeline for some.
