SPARK, run by the Vergnano Institute for Inclusion (VII) within UConn’s School of Engineering, is an empowering residential summer initiative to bridge the gender and confidence gap in STEM fields. Designed for middle school girls, this program introduces participants to various engineering disciplines, fostering interest and confidence in STEM. SPARK is designed to inspire and encourage young girls to pursue STEM careers, offering them the tools, confidence, and connections to empower the next generation of engineers.
