Resilient Connecticut, initiated by CIRCA in coordination with state agencies, regional councils of governments (COGs), and municipalities, is a key component of the HUD National Disaster Resilience Competition. This project provides Connecticut with a comprehensive planning framework to enhance resilience in the face of natural disasters, building on lessons learned during the impacts of Superstorm Sandy on New Haven and Fairfield counties. Through Resilient Connecticut, CIRCA aims to foster collaborative, science-based solutions that help communities prepare for, adapt to, and recover from extreme weather events and other climate-related challenges.
