K-12 Education, Student Achievement, and College Access

The UConn Office of Early College Programs (OECP) offers high school students valuable academic opportunities that enrich their high school experience while preparing them for the transition to college. OECP provides a range of educational programs, including: Early College Experience (ECE): High school students can earn college credit by taking UConn courses at their high school, which offers an early introduction to college-level coursework. Dual Enrollment: Students take UConn courses in university classrooms, giving them a taste of college life and the chance to experience higher education firsthand. Pre-College Summer and First Summer Programs: On-campus residential summer programs designed to help students build skills, explore academic interests, and get acclimated to university life. OECP’s programs give students a head start on their academic journey, giving them the tools and experiences they need to succeed in high school and college.
