The UConn Explore Engineering (E2) Program is a one-week residential STEM summer camp designed for current high school sophomores and juniors. Held at the University of Connecticut's Storrs campus, this exciting program allows participants to explore various engineering careers through hands-on activities and collaboration with UConn School of Engineering faculty and students. Students work in small groups to learn about engineering concepts and see real-world applications. In the evenings, participants focus on a Grand Challenge project related to a specific engineering discipline. The program concludes with demonstrations of student-created projects, such as rudimentary EKG devices, Smart Lego vehicles, fuel cells, wooden bridges, and energy-efficient devices, showcasing the innovative solutions developed during the camp.
