Biotech Games
- College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources

This new online game from UConn Extension helps youth build awareness of biotechnology and the potential careers it could lead to. Xeb, a robot, greets individuals and introduces them to the lab and its four areas of gene editing research: food production, health, nutrition, and the environment. Anyone can explore these areas and work with different scientists to address issues facing this fantasy world. Each of the issues has a parallel example from Earth. University of Connecticut Extension and biotechnology experts collaborated with the Learning Games Lab at New Mexico State University to create Dr. Eugene's Biotech Lab. Dr. Eugene’s Biotech Lab is the first in a series of three 4-H Biotech Games to be produced by the Learning Games Lab with support from the Food and Agriculture Nonformal Education program, USDA-NIFA grant no. 2022-68018-36094.
