The CT AHEC Biomedical Engineering (BME) Discovery Program offers students aged 13-16 an immersive experience in biomedical engineering applications in health care. Through engaging Saturday sessions, participants develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and hands-on expertise. Activities include building hydraulic arms, designing prosthetic legs, and exploring core concepts in BME. Designed by educators and taught by health professional students passionate about engineering in health care, the program inspires young learners to connect engineering with real-world health care challenges.
