The UConn Indoor Air Quality Initiative is a cross-campus collaboration between the Schools of Education, Engineering, Nursing, and UConn Health, which is dedicated to improving indoor air quality for schools and community spaces. The program's mission is to empower the public with knowledge on how to improve indoor air quality and reduce their exposure to airborne infectious diseases, mold, dust, and chemical pollutants. The team provides tools for individuals to build their air filters. In addition to sharing these crucial tools with the public, they study how well and for how long these DIY air filters work in real-world settings.
