- UConn Health
The Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace (CPH-NEW) conducts research with working people and employers to overcome workplace obstacles to health. The Center also offers research-based program toolkits and education to help employers support a health-promoting workplace and a vital, productive workforce. CPH-NEW includes several research projects. Based in Connecticut, the Total Teacher Health Project works with educators to identify and improve working conditions that impact educators' mental well-being. The SHIFT project works with healthcare unions across New England to engage healthcare workers in identifying and improving working conditions that impact worker well-being. We also have an outreach core that engages with professionals who seek to improve worker well-being, teaching them how to take participatory, Total Worker Health approaches to improve worker well-being.
