UConn Health Parenting offers three comprehensive programs designed to support first-time parents. These programs provide emotional support, guidance on infant and young children’s development, and connections to a wide range of additional parenting resources within the community. Perinatal Outreach and Support: Emotional support and connections to community resources such as home visiting services, counseling for postpartum depression, breastfeeding support, and other parenting programs. Prenatal and Parenting Groups: Prenatal parenting, infant massage, mother-baby social group, Toddler workshops, and Circle of Security® Parenting.Early Childhood Home Visitation Services: Trained parent educators meet weekly with families in their homes to provide emotional support, tools to support and educate parents on attachment and infant and child development, and help accessing other necessary parenting resources.
