UConn Extension's Center for Learning in Retirement (CLIR) offers enriching intellectual experiences for retirees and adults from diverse backgrounds. Designed to be informal and relaxed, the program provides opportunities for lifelong learning without any academic prerequisites. Classes typically explore timely societal topics, featuring guest speakers who share their expertise at each session. All classes are held at the Vernon Cottage on the Mansfield Depot Campus at the University of Connecticut. New members are always welcome to join, with the option to sample a class or two at no charge.
